I'm quite new to the world of acquiring hosting and am wondering if anyone else can help me with my CS 2007 install.

I'm currently uploading my Web files to my account via FTP, but am kinda curious where I go from there?

Hello,

We do offer free installation of Community Server 2007 Express if you are hosting with us.

If you would like to attempt it here are the instructions:

Once you get your files up to the server you must go into the /Installer directory and open up the default.aspx page in a text editor like Notepad and scroll down to line 19 and change that line to true rather than false and save the file back to the server.

Next you would go to your browser and using your issued temp /alternate domain name or your actual domain name if it is resolving to us you would go to www.yourdomain.com/Installer if you are installing to your root folder and follow the Instructions to the Install CS 2007 to your site.  Once it is completed you should be able to navigate to your new Site.

After this is completed go back to that default.aspx file in the Installer Directory and change that same line 19 back to false.

That is all there is to it.  Again we do offer to do this installation if your prefer.

If we can be of any further assistance to you please let us know.

Hi Dave,

We're using the the small business edition and the url we're running from currently is http://econ-spon.re-invent.net/Web/Installer/

however, I have applied for an SQL 2000 database and currently awaiting that to be set up before I progress any further (I assume that will take care of all the runtime errors I'm receiving on above URL).

Thanks.
