You would request our support to point the additional sub-domain or domain name in DNS to your site and add the requested domain name to your Host Headers in IIS if this is on a shared IP Address. If on a unique IP Address the host headers would not be necessary. There is a $15 one-time fee to point the additional Domain Name in DNS if it is a new domain name, If it is not a new domain name and simply a sub-domain there is no fee for us to add that DNS entry.

Your step would be to make sure your new domain name or sub-domain name is set as a Portal Alias in your new parent portal in your DNN Site.

Thanks for the reply...

Just received the directions on how to set up sub-domains... they maky no sense.. all they are doing is redirecting to sub folders (something I could do without paying $5 more a month)...

That means the parent directory of all sub domains is my home directory... why aren't sub-domains set up in IIS as true sub-domains?

My root site is a DNN site... how can I have teh DNN default.aspx redirect without messing up DNN?

How can I create a new portal under my DNN installation and have the alias newdnnsite.mydomain.com if there is no IIS entry?

Hello,

Yes we are always actively working on improvements based on customer needs. The 2 locations in beta testing should be out of beta after the first of the year. We needed extended data to sample to make sure certain things work correctly which they do.

The Add-on Manager is a something that we are planning to release after the first of the year.

How come there are so many non-functional options on the customer portal?

For a host that's been running since "1998", it seems very unorganized.. please tell us that all these things are currently ACTIVELY being worked on and will be implemented soon... I hope we didn't make a mistake in choosing host.
