Guys,

My pwsk on www.yasir.us is running nice and smooth on your servers. This is slightly a customised version. In this, when a user registers, I am suppose to be notified by email so that I could approve via the website. Once approved, the user/registrant is also set to be receiving a confirmation that he/she is now registered. All this to happen via the smtp email account. Althought the code is perfectly in, something is trapping the emails from taking place. Guys, please so this out urgently

Hello,

You have the MailSettings section of your web.config file commented out with <!-- -->.  Please uncomment that section and your email should work.

Gentlemen,

Greetings from Selly Oak, Birmingham

The email setting provisioned in the web.config file is for future development, to recover lost passwords. Anyway per your request I have uncommented the email settings in the web.config but the problem remains unsolved and lies beyond the obvious.

Email settings are also given on the Register.aspx.vb at root directory holds the message I should be getting when users register.  Admin/Users.aspx.vb at line 26-27 holds the email message users should be getting, once approved. This is unfortunately not working and I need to resolve this ASAP.

Cheers

yasir

Dudes,

I have been able to correct the trap and hence its working for me now. But very strange that no responded. If its beyond the free service, then it would have been nice to know atleast.

Hello,

Generally we do not offer troubleshooting of code with our hosting services but we try to assist as much as we can.   One of our developers was going to take a quick look at this but we are glad you resolved the issue.  This forum is not for first line support so I apologize if someone didn't respond earlier to your post.
