Just posting to see if anyone has seen this error...
I have a functioning install of DNN 4.03.4 (This was upgraded from 4.0), and when I try to create a new child portal I get the "Add a portal" form with a simple error message on the top: "Error creating Portal".
There is nothing in the DNN log viewer to indicate what the error was. I have tried all types of built-in templates, including "portal", one of the basics.
The DNN forums have an entry that states:
"Make sure the virtual DNN user (ASPNET or Network Service) has create file & folder permissions for the top level of your DNN installation directory in file system."
Is this something that I can check, or can Re-Invent check it for me?
