Hi,
We have a website currently hosted at another provider that we want to move to re-invent.
The site has existing email accounts, a website and an SSL certificate that need to be transferred over.

I have 2 questions:
1. From what I have read (and understand), it looks like the DNS will need to be switched over before we can add any of the accounts, because the login to manage email accounts is at a URL such as: http://webmail.domainname.com

If the DNS updates quickly, it minimized the down time of the site, but I wanted to confirm this and that we are unable to add the email accounts until after DNS is switched over.

2. Can you direct me to anything online, in a forum or the knowledge base showing the process to get the SSL certificate setup at the new account with you folks?

I do have access to login and manage via a different hosting account you provide, so if that additional access opens other doors for a tutorial, that is not a problem.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Hello,

Thank you for your continued interest in our services.

1. You would have the ability to add your email users before updating the DNS from our Control Panel.

2.   SSL requires that first you have an activate account with us and purchase a unique IP Addon which is $2/mo.  If you are moving an existing SSL certifciate over we would need to be provided with a .pfx file that was exported from the previous server with private key and be provided with the password used to export the certificate.

If we cna be of any further assistance, please let us know.

Hi Paul,
Thanks. Opened up the account, all is setup and working well.

On the site, I have a copy of the original SSL certificate info received from GeoTrust (where the certificate was purchased).

I want to order the service of getting it added, but the Help Desk has been under maintenance for the last couple days.

What do I proceed in ordering the service and getting it setup?

Thanks again,
Dave

thanks - will do.

In the site we have setup for hosting, one of the folders is named: CAC

Our developer provided this note:
The CAC folder is not configured as a virtual folder. We need it to run the CAC as a asp.net web application. With re-invent.com, there is no UI for user to configure it ourselves. You need to submit a ticket to get their staff to make it for us, unless they have added this UI for server 2008 hosting.

How do I get this setup?

Tx

Hello,

Using the control panel for your account you can set your folder as a virtual folder or IIS Web application.
