Hello,

I user MS SQL Server 2008 and it's work very nice until anyone can use my database.

I got this message :

The transaction log for database 'mydatabasename' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases

It's important because my members cannot login in my application.

Thank you for any information that can help me.

Truncate the Log in the Control Panel for your hosting account.

A member of our support team truncated the log for you. This feature is currently not available in the Custoemr Portal.

Thank you a lot dear Paul.  Do you think it's can be append again? How to prevent this?  I got a Pay site and my customers use it a lot at anytime.

BTW, Re-invent have a very good uptime (almost 100%) and it's very appreciate!

Hello,

It could be that you performed many transactions on your database? Could be other coding issues? You just may need more disk space possibly.

The server / network you are on actually has been at 100% uptime. Except for any monthly security updates that needed to be done during off hours.

Hi dear Paul,

Everything is back to normal

Yes my membres have a lot of transactions.  This is why I choose MS SQL Server 2008 with 600Mb with Re-Invent..  If I check my database Properties, it's show Size = 166 Mo and Space Avalaibale =  0.73 Mo.  Regardless those statitics you think I have to get more space?

And why Space Available is only 0.73?

Thank you again for your fast service!

Thats the space available before the database grows to the next level. Currently set to grow in 1MB increments. We're showing 66MB out of 600MB is currently actually being used at this time after truncating and shrinking the database.
