| It basically involves: 1. Upload your files 2. Retore your SQL database from a backup .bak file using the control panel. 3. Update the web.config with the new database connection string.

| thanks Plato. 1) Which folder do we exactly upload the DNN files? And 2) Which folder do we need to upload the SQL Server mdf and ldf files?
and does re-invent offer support or help with this just in case the upload and/or configuration is not successful? We can make the application work in our local machine but not sure how we achieve this when we upload to the site.

| 1. Usually the root unless you have it installed to a specific folder 2. The .bak file of the database would need to be restored.. Upload to any place on your site and use the Control Panel to restore under the database section.

| Hi Plato, Thanks. Do you do services like configuring and attaching the database? Can we just upload the zipped folder of the dotnetnuke application (via FTP with the database in the app_data folder, we are using sql server express) and can you help us attach the database to sql server and configure the settings? Sorry but we are a bit confused about the procedure on how to do it and very afraid we may mess things up, as there is already a running application on the site. Also I tried doing a backup of the database before from the control panel but I cannot find the backup anywhere when I connected via FTP. thanks
