I cannot connect to database server if using MS Management Studio, but from your web interface I can.

Problem is that we are connected to internet trough proxy (WinProxy) and I cannot figure out what to change on MS Management Studio (Internet options are all set up ,and I can read mail and browse internet)




Can you please help me ?

Hi ,

   I am having SQL server Manager 2005 , and i want to connect to the  database server which is on the public server having public ip 69.20.xx.xx  database name is kirinuki-invi 

i can see servers which are in my local area but how do i connect to this server which is in public domain.

any idea or help will be greatly appreciated

Also make sure you do not have a Firewall blocking Port 1433 or the SQL client software you are using from accessing the Internet via TCP/IP.
